Chavez = Tard

Our friend is in Haiti working at an orphanage. A couple days ago a gang of guys with guns tried to break in and loot the place and this guy is making headlines by telling America that we are using the earthquake as an excuse to occupy the country. There was almost no drinkable water until the military and UN arrived. The airport was inoperable until the military arrived. Crime was out of control until the military arrived.

Chavez should drop the b.s. along with the rest of the neigh sayers long enough to see that there are some genuine needs being met.

That's it for now.

Thanks...

for the thoughts Paul.

When school is out I will hit this a bit harder, but for now...

I love this woman.

Alpha

So begins yet another of my journeys into the internets. I've been thinking about government and politics quite a bit lately, and hope that this can be a place to put those thoughts into words, and eventually into conversation via comments from you, my friends, and whoever else stumbles over my jumbled deliberation.

If you know me, you know my upbringing was largely conservative. But as I've entered the world for myself, I've not come across any convincing enough arguments to sway me from my influences of yore, and thus have never rebelled politically the way some often do in their teens and twenties. Right? Is that not true? I've heard it said, "If you're not a liberal in your twenties, you've got no heart, but if your not conservative by your forties, you've got no brain."

That being said, my hope is to balance this blog out as much as possible. I want info from both sides. If you have time, will you tell me where you go for your news and opinions?

The blog title is a quote from Mr. Benjamin Franklin. The photo is of America, in the dark. Hmmmm.

The below video is a nice start, I think.

Thoughts???
